Oakley, Michigan is getting a new manufacturing business in town this summer, Tech-Ice USA will begin producing professional quality ice paint that will be used in hockey and skating facilities around the United States. Operations will start as soon as summer of 2024. The plan is to begin production and gradually grow which will lead to new job opportunitites in the area.
Leading the charge of Tech-Ice USA is Bryan Roeder from Oakley, Michigan, John Notter from Roseville, Michigan, and Daniel Lapointe from Montreal, Quebec. Tech-Ice is a solidified ice paint manufacturer in Canada and is excited to be expanding into the United States. Their paints can be seen in professional, junior, local, and outdoor skating facilities across multiple provinces in Canada. Bryan Roeder said “we are very excited and greatful to partner up with such a succesful company and bring this type of high level manufacturing to Mid-Michigan”. Bryan and John currently offer Tech-Ice paint that is produced in Canada through their company Hockey Board Doctor. John says that “making the product here in the United States rather than importing it from Canada will have a positive impact on the price they can sell the product for as well as the timliness when it comes to shipping”.
Currently Tech-Ice paint is being showcased at the Trinity Health Arena in Muskegon, Michigan, and earlier this year at the Campus Martius Skating Rink in Downtown Detroit. Future news and developments can be followed on Tech Ice & Hockey Board Doctor Facebook pages as well as HockeyBoardDoctor.com. Questions can be sent to John@Hockeyboarddoctor.com
